Our story …

Turkey River AXEperience is the first indoor axe throwing facility in Clayton County, Iowa. We are excited to bring this family-friendly venue to Elkader! We hope that others enjoy the space, the experience, and make fun memories together with family, friends, coworkers, and more. Our hope is that we can build upon our initial vision and #AXEcitement and have Turkey River AXEperience in Elkader for years to come!

January 2025 we were excited to share this adventure with the new owner, Travis Mclain. He is looking foward to expanding Turkey River AXEperience.
